Vaporizers
Vaporizer is a device designed to vaporize the the active ingredients of a plant or any other material. Unlike when smoking joint or cigarette with vaporizer it is often possible to avoid releasing the unnecessary or harmful by-products, thus making the inhaling more pleasant and helthier.
Vaporizers have their most important use in medicine. There are some people who have congestion and thick secretions in their airways. The treatment of these individuals can be difficult because the medications are unable to get inside the airways. Thus, vaporizers were developed. Vaporization of liquid material has been shown to significantly improve drug delivery into the blood and has a very fast onset of action. In many cases of acute asthmatic attacks, delivery of drugs by vaporization has been life saving.
Today vaporizers are available for home use also. There all types and sizes of vaporizers. Besides the liquid, one can add all types of flavors and aromas to the liquid. The liquid can be turned into vapor either by a heating mechanism or by blowing air into a fast circulating motor. The more complex vaporizers can filter and even cool the vapors before they reach the nose.
The realm of the drug user has taken them away from smoking and into the field of vaporizers. Some individuals prefer to inhale vaporized herbs, marijuana and plants instead of smoking them.
With vaporizer the material is usually heated to around 180 degrees of celsius which is enough for the active ingredients to vapor. The result is fume that looks like smoke but contains no tar which is a normal result of smoking a plant. This makes the vapor more healthier to inhale than smoke. The feeling can also be made more pleasant by circulating it trough cold water (in similiar way that in water bongs) or filter.
Vaporizers are available in many varieties and price ranges. The small portable home devices can cost anywhere from $300-$400 but the more sophisticated devices can cost a lot more.
