100 Years Old Wild Ginseng Plant Found
On mountains of Mt. Odae in Gangwon Province a group of amateur herbalists have found a wild ginseng plant which is believed to be hundred of years old. The plant are original wild Korean ginseng in very good condition.
Wild ginseng is considered very rare, and superior to farmed ginseng as it contains much more medicinal ingredients. The plants have long and narrow head parts, purple trunks and yellow roots.
The found ginseng plants have endured decades of environmental change. The appraised value of the ginsengs has not been announced. However, the worth of the oldest ginseng plant is estimated to be about one hundred thousand dollars (100 million won).
