Cannabinoids Can Be Used in Skin Care

According a recent study, cannabinoids, the active compounds found in cannabis plant, are not only produced and used by our bodies for protection, but they also help us to maintain a good looking skin. Cannabis products are already used in cosmetics industry.

The team of scientists said “endocannabinoids” are important in regulating lipid production and may therefore be useful in the management of problems such as acne and dry skin that are associated with sebaceous gland dysfunction.

The oil derived from hemp plant is being used mostly for its moisturizing properties. As the research for the new uses advances, researchers say the cannabis products will most likely been seen also in the management of common skin disorders.
