Obama Promotes Marijuana Decriminalization

The U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama has clarified his position on marijuana – he is promoting marijuana decriminilazation.

However, Obamas’s earlier comments aren’t as pot-friendly. The comments on a debate at Northwestern University 2004 Obama commented: “I think we need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws, but I’m not somebody who believes in legalization of marijuana.”

If the Obama’s campaign really is towards decriminalizing cannabis, it will be nice to see the debate it most definetely brings up between the top presidential candidates, e.g. Hillary Clinton.
