Petition Against Magic Mushroom Ban
Recently the Dutch health ministry has decided to ban selling of hallucinogenic mushrooms. The mushroom are sold in Netherlands in so-called smart shops.
The ban was introduced by Health Minister Ab Klink. Klink believes can lead to unpredictable and risky behaviour. More than 90 percent of the 1.5 million to two million doses consumed every year are bought by foreign tourists.
Now a body representing Dutch “magic mushroom” vendors sought an urgent court order Tuesday to halt the ban. The petition against the magic mushroom ban will be handled on Friday.
