The world wide history of coffee is hundreds of years old. Coffee has been used in religious ceremonies for example in Africa and nowadays it is often used in social settings. Most of the world's coffee is produced in South-Americal and South-East Asia.
The different flavors of coffee are produced by roasting the beans to various degrees. The roasted coffee beans are grinded and the grind is then brewed to a hot stimulating drink. Often small amounts of sugar, milk or cream are mixed with hot coffee drink.
The effects of coffee are stimulating due to caffeine. An average dose of caffeine in a cup of coffee is about one hundred milligrams and the effects of caffeine can be noticed under one hour.
Caffeine increases mental and physical capasity and reduces the feeling of tiredness. Mixing milk or cream with coffee tends to extend the stimulating effect as the coffee stays longer in the digestion.
