Galangal
Galangal is a plant which resembles ginger in the appearance and taste. Fresh Galangal root has a pale or yellowish color and it's used as a traditional spice in Thai cuisine. Among its use as a spice Galangal is known to have stimulating and aphrodisiac-like effects.

Galangal is fully legal and available as whole, cut, or powdered in many stores selling herbs. Galangal powder can also be found in oriental spice shops.
