Psilocybin mushrooms.
The history of using psilocybin mushrooms reaches back to ancient times. Aztecs called the hallucinogenic psilocybine by a word literally meaning god's mushroom or flesh of the gods.
The psilocybin dose varies between mushrooms. Usually one gram of dried mushroom is enough for a small trip, whereas three grams can be enough for a strong experience lasting more than five hours.
The effects of psilocybin are hallucinogenic including e.g. change in colors, breathing or rippling surfaces and increased clarity of sounds. Emotions are often more intense and for example strong spiritual feelings can be experienced.
Selecting the environment for the trip is important part of an enjoyable experience. Comfortable and familiar environment is usually best for the most pleasant experience, while negative environment may result in a bad trip. This is often referred as set and setting.
Because psilocybin mushrooms are not addictive neither poisonous the most greatest risk is a bad trip which may cause emotional and psychological distress. That's why a special care to set and setting is recommended to take. Also having a partner who is not tripping is often good to have.
Psilocybin mushrooms are regulated in most parts of the world. However the spores are often legal to sell and buy, thus making it possible to grow the mushrooms by oneself.
